Job Description

Oaks Perth Hotel is seeking two Part-Time Cooks to join our kitchen team on a fixed-term contract to provide maternity leave coverage.

This is a fantastic opportunity for passionate hospitality professionals to be part of a dynamic team, supporting the day-to-day operations of our kitchen while delivering quality food and exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Prepare ingredients and assist with the cooking and plating of meals.
• Cook a variety of dishes in line with menu standards and guest expectations.
• Ensure excellent presentation of meals before service.
• Maintain proper food storage, safety and hygiene standards.
• Keep the kitchen clean, organised and compliant with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements.
• Support team members to ensure smooth daily kitchen operations.

Position Details:

• Two Part-Time positions available.
• Fixed-term contracts to provide maternity leave coverage.
• Rotating roster across Monday to Sunday.
• Shifts scheduled across breakfast and dinner service periods.
• Immediate start available.

Hourly Rates (excluding superannuation):

Monday to Friday: $27.97 per hour

Saturday: $34.96 per hour

Sunday: $41.96 per hour

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Minimum 12 months' experience as a Cook or in a similar kitchen role.
• Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• A positive, proactive attitude and genuine passion for food and hospitality.
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene and kitchen compliance requirements.
