Covina Court Senior Living is looking for a dependable and passionate Cook to prepare fresh, nutritious, and appealing meals for our residents. The ideal candidate takes pride in their cooking, maintains high food-safety standards, and understands the importance of creating meals that meet the needs and preferences of seniors.

NOW HIRING: COOK

Shift: Part Time Saturday-Sunday

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook daily meals according to planned menus and dietary requirements.
• Ensure meals are nutritious, flavorful, and presented appropriately.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and kitchen procedures.
• Accommodate special diets, allergies, and resident preferences as directed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen.
• Monitor food inventory and communicate supply needs.
• Properly store, label, and rotate food and ingredients.
• Work closely with the care team to ensure residents' dietary needs are met.
• Assist with cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment and work areas.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Cook, preferably in assisted living, senior care, healthcare, restaurant, or institutional food service.
• Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and safe food-handling practices.
• Ability to follow recipes, menus, and special dietary instructions.
• Reliable, organized, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Compassionate and respectful when interacting with senior residents.
• Food Handler certification preferred or willingness to obtain as required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift and carry kitchen supplies as needed.
