The Pines, a Cassia community, is hiring a Cook to join our culinary team! In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to prepare meals that bring comfort and nourishment to our residents. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to build on your culinary experience, we provide a welcoming environment where you can grow your skills. No senior care experience? No problem—we’ll provide all the training you need!

Position Type: Part-Time, working a varying schedule including every other weekend

Shift Available:

Shift Block(Every other Weekend):

Saturday. 10:30am-7:00pm

Sunday. 6:00am-2:00pm

Wednesday. 10:30am-7:00pm

Wage Range: $18 - $23 / hour depending on experience

Location: 400 West 67th Street, Richfield, MN 55423

Cook responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional service to residents by providing fast, friendly and excellent customer service to all guests.
  • Prepare and cook all meals to ensure adherence to recipes and quality standards.
  • Observe and report on low stock or high-demand choices.
  • Observe and report on resident change of condition or changes in ability.
  • Participate in meetings and required training to maintain regulatory standards of food service at the community.
  • Inspect kitchen for conformance to government and company safety and sanitation requirements.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed.

Cook Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of commercial cooking/ food preparation experience required.
  • Selected candidates are required to pass background checks.
  • Must be able to read and follow recipes.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Ability to stand for length of shift.
  • Prior dining/ serving experience a plus!
  • Baking experience a plus!
