What You'll Do

As a Cook II, you'll play a vital role in preparing nutritious, appealing meals while maintaining the highest standards of food quality and safety. Responsibilities include:

• Prepare meals for patients, residents, visitors, and staff
• Cook a variety of menu items from scratch using standardized recipes
• Follow production schedules while minimizing food waste
• Maintain strict food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards
• Accurately complete food temperature logs and production records
• Ensure food is attractively presented and served with quality in mind
• Keep kitchen work areas, storage rooms, and equipment clean and organized
• Participate in daily production meetings and work collaboratively with the Nutritional Services team

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Previous cooking experience
• Experience preparing meals from scratch using recipes
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, proper food handling, cooking temperatures, and kitchen equipment
• Ability to organize multiple tasks in a busy kitchen environment

Preferred:

• Experience working under HACCP standards
• Previous hospital, nursing home, or healthcare food service experience
• Formal culinary education or training beyond high school
