Aramark is currently seeking a Cook for the food service at Cégep de Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu

POSITION: Cook

LOCATION: Cégep de Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu
• (30 Boulevard du Séminaire Nord, Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, QC, J3B 0K4)

SALARY: $21.25

SCHEDULE / HOURS: 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday to Friday (according to the school calendar)

START DATE: As soon as possible

Job Responsibilities

• Assist the chef in preparing the daily menu
• Perform food prep and workstation setup
• Cook dishes and complete finishing tasks
• Participate in service
• Assist with inventory taking
• Demonstrate creativity while meeting client requirements
• Ensure the quality of food services and customer satisfaction
• Optimize food and labor costs
• Ensure the implementation of management, health, hygiene, and food safety programs
• Monitor and control service quality and customer satisfaction
• Participate in kitchen cleaning and maintenance

Qualifications

• 2 to 3 years of experience in food service or the restaurant industry (asset)
• Catering experience (asset)
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to work independently
• Positive attitude
• Customer service oriented
• MAPAQ food hygiene and sanitation certificate (asset)

The selected candidate for this position will be required to complete and pass a criminal background check and a vulnerable sector check (if required by operations). The pay range for this position is $16.60 - $21.25.
