About the Role:
As a Cook at RSL LifeCare, you will play a crucial role in providing nutritious and wholesome meals for residents. Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting in meal preparation and service to ensure high-quality food is provided.
Preparing meals in accordance with dietary requirements, including modified diets and special meal requests.
Ensuring food safety compliance (HACCP) and maintaining kitchen hygiene standards.
Supporting kitchen operations, including ordering supplies and food storage management.
Working collaboratively with the food services team to provide a positive dining experience.

About You:
Previous experience in bulk cooking, preferably in aged care or hospitality.
A passion for food and creating nutritious meals that enhance residents’ well-being.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written to ensure the best possible resident experience and teamwork
Knowledge and experience in Food Safety Standards and HACCP compliance.
The ability to work efficiently and as part of a team in a busy environment.
Strong communication skills and a commitment to providing quality service.

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.
We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.
With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.
We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.
When it comes to training and research we partner with the very best. Our campus partners, the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute (MCRI) and The University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics, along with the RCH Foundation, are on site with the hospital in Parkville.
