Job DetailsJob Location: Arcadia Club - Arcadia, FL 34266Education Level: High SchoolSalary Range: $15.00 - $17.00 HourlyTravel Percentage: NonePrimary Function: The Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota and DeSoto Counties are seeking a dedicated and experienced Part-Time Cook to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing daily meals for club members, ensuring their nutritional needs are met while maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness in the kitchen area.
Position Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to):
Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious and delicious meals for Club members on a daily basis, following specified menus and dietary guidelines.
Preparation, Service, and Clean-up: Oversee the entire meal process from preparation to service and clean-up, ensuring that all aspects are carried out efficiently and effectively.
Meal Tracking: Maintain accurate records of the number of meals served daily, ensuring compliance with grant requirements, and reporting procedures.
Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, adhering to all sanitary measures and safety protocols to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
Supply Inventory: Monitor inventory levels of kitchen supplies and ingredients, notifying appropriate personnel when supplies need to be replenished.
Data Submission: Prepare and submit required data for grant requirements and reporting purposes in a timely and accurate manner.
QualificationsPosition Requirements (include, but are not limited to):
Must be comfortable working in a kitchen environment- standing/walking for the majority of their shift, lifting boxes up to 35 pounds, working with potentially hot kitchen equipment, etc.
A minimum of two years of relevant work experience.
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and be attentive to details.
Pass pre-employment background screening and drug test.
