About the Position

• Cook
• Casual (as-needed basis)
• Shift: 10:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
• 8-hour shifts, Days, Evenings, Every other Weekend
• Food & Nutrition
• INTERNAL POSTING THROUGH: 3/12/26

Here's what you'll do when you join us:

The cook is responsible for preparing and assisting with the set-up of all food at Grand Itasca including meals for tray line and cafeteria, catering, and meals-on-wheels while ensuring adequate par levels of all food items.

• Ensures there is enough food for the day and prepares food for the next day.
  
• Prepare all hot food items and cook room service request orders.
• Prepare food to meet quality and department standards.
• Serve cafeteria customers and take payments using the cash register.
• Maintain a "clean-as-you-go" attitude and maintain a clean work area.
• Use fantastic customer service skills with both patients and staff.
• Maintain stock.
• Perform other duties assigned my leadership.

If you have these qualifications, we'd love to chat:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
  
• Secondary training in food preparation and food service or previous experience as cook, salad assistant, caterer, or baker, in a a' la carte setting.
• Demonstrated ability to follow and adhere to Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital policies, vision, mission and values.
• Maintains reliable and consistent attendance.
