Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Chief Operating Officer to lead day-to-day operations for a growing technology services organization. This individual will oversee department leaders, drive execution, and ensure the organization operates with consistency, urgency, and accountability.

The ideal candidate is a strong operational leader with experience managing managers, implementing systems and processes, and holding teams accountable to KPIs and performance expectations. The individual should also be comfortable in a technology-driven environment and able to balance structured processes with a highly responsive, service-oriented culture.

Requirements

• Proven senior operations or executive leadership experience
• Experience leading multiple departments and managing department heads
• Strong track record of accountability, execution, and follow-through
• Experience working with KPIs, scorecards, systems, and established processes
• Comfortable operating in a technology-driven business
• Strong understanding of business operations and resource allocation
• High sense of urgency with the ability to make decisions and drive action
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Flexible, humble, and comfortable learning an established organization before making changes
• Able to balance structure and process with client needs and real-world business demands

Responsibilities

Leadership & Accountability

• Lead and manage department heads across key business functions
• Establish clear expectations and hold leaders accountable for results
• Monitor KPIs, scorecards, performance metrics, and departmental execution
• Develop managers into stronger, more independent leaders
• Maintain an environment of direct, professional, and open communication

Operations

• Oversee day-to-day operations across the organization
• Ensure existing systems, processes, and procedures are consistently followed
• Identify operational gaps and opportunities for improvement
• Ensure teams have the resources and support needed to execute effectively
• Coordinate priorities across departments and resolve operational roadblocks

Execution & Continuous Improvement

• Drive projects and initiatives through completion
• Maintain urgency and follow-through across the organization
• Evaluate workflows and improve efficiency where appropriate
• Learn and understand existing operations before introducing significant changes
• Partner closely with executive leadership on organizational priorities and growth

Client & Service Operations

• Maintain a strong understanding of the organization's service model and client expectations
• Ensure operational decisions support a responsive, high-service client experience
• Balance internal procedures with the flexibility required to address urgent client needs
• Develop enough understanding of the company's technology services to effectively oversee operational decisions and resources
