Job Description

Malin is seeking a resident Conveyor Technician who will be dedicated to one of our largest customer accounts located in central Austin area. As the resident expert in conveyor mechanics and installs, this position will be responsible for installation and maintenance of mechanical and automated equipment.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.
  • Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs.
  • Performs routine maintenance on building systems.
  • Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities.
  • Effectively identifies problems as they occur and takes appropriate steps to solve them in situations where the problem is more difficult and complex.
  • Leads the complex maintenance tasks, equipment trial runs, investigative tests, repairs and overhauls.
  • Completes documents of all inspections, maintenance and repair work, and failures; maintains maintenance logs and work orders.
  • Practice safe work habits and abide by the safety rules in accordance with the safety policies set forth by Malin and our customer.
  • Provide corrective repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Log all service work performed, downtime during repair, and account for equipment service requests.

* Schedule: 12hr shifts (Noon to Midnight), 7 days on / 7 days off

* Company vehicle provided

* Climate controlled building

* Customer has lunchroom on site

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Successfully demonstrates thorough/ advanced knowledge of a technical or specialty area.
  • Minimum 3 years of conveyor maintenance and repair.
  • Preferred knowledge of electronic components and ability to read related schematics.
  • Proficiency with conveyor-related software that monitors and controls system functions.
  • Ability to bend, grasp, lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Experience operating material handling and lift equipment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
