The Opportunity:

We have an opportunity for a Conveyancing Assistant to join our supportive Residential Conveyancing team, based at our Dereham office. This role provides administrative support to the team. This department works in a fast-paced environment, and they are looking for individuals who relish the challenge that this brings.

The Role:

As a Conveyancing Assistant, this role plays a key role in supporting the fee earners with residential property transactions from instruction through to completion. Some responsibilities include:

• Assisting with opening new files and carrying out initial documentation and ID checks.

• Drafting and preparing correspondence and legal documents, such as contracts, transfers and completion statements.

• Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and solicitors.

• Submitting searches, such as drainage, environmental, bankruptcy searches.

• Closing files.

• Supporting the conveyancer in ensuring smooth progression of transactions.

• Managing administrative duties, such as file management, diary management, data entry and scanning.

• Support with covering reception when needed.

The Candidate:

We are looking for a candidate who:

• Ideally has previous similar experience, including working with a small fee earning target.

• Has a commitment to providing an excellent standard of client care

• Is IT literate, and an accurate typist

• Has great time management, attention to detail, and communication skills

• Enjoys a busy environment, is adept at multitasking, and has the ability to remain calm under pressure

• Has a positive "can-do" attitude and loves learning new skills

• Is a team-player who can quickly build report and gain the trust of their team and clients

Residential Conveyancing:

The Residential Conveyancing team are approachable, personal, professional and efficient individuals that guide and support clients through buying and selling property, equity release, remortgaging a property, transfer of equity and voluntary first registration of land.
