Job Description

TITLE: Converting Utility B
POSITION OBJECTIVE: Assists the Operator in producing a good quality product safely and efficiently while performing sonic, hand trim, die cut cleaning, and packaging duties.
Hiring for 7am to 5:30pm and 4pm to 2:30am shifts
Starting at $12.25 per hr. – earn $1.00 more per hour on 4pm to 2:30am with shift differential.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Be available for overtime.
• Complete basic math such as adding, dividing, subtracting, percentages, etc.
• Must be able to read a ruler to 1/16”
• Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
• Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensures that the workplace is safe, professional, and clean by upholding company THM practices.
• Clean, inspect, and stack the product according to standard or customer requirements.
• Assists the Operator in the upkeep of the machine and assists in set up for production runs.
• Assists coworkers as needed to maintain levels of production.
• Package materials according to Coroplast standards of packaging.
• Hand trims Laminate
• Weld boxes
• Sort material as needed
• Assist in installation and uninstallation of dies on die cutter workstations.
• Notify Operator, Lead, or Supervisor of any issues or defects.
WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:
• Inside environmental conditions protected from weather conditions, not necessarily temperature conditions.
• Subject to hazards such as moving machinery, electrical currents, falling debris, exposure to chemicals, gases, or high heat.
MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT, ELECTRONIC DEVICES & SOFTWARE:
• Slitter machines, die cutter machines and laminators.
• Lite maintenance tools
• Sonic and hand welders
• Lite measuring devices (tape measures etc.)
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION:
• Standing, particularly for sustained periods of time.
• DEGREE OF LIFTING: 26-50 LBS.
VISUAL ACTIVITY REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION:
• Machine operation, inspection, close assembly.
• Position requires individual to differentiate colors, depth and perception.
