Salary Range: $21.00 - $21.00 Hourly

JOB SUMMARY:
Airtech is looking for a hands-on Conversion Operator to operate equipment used to wind, rewind, package, label, and prepare roll materials for customers.
This is a production role that requires prior machine operating experience. The Conversion Operator will be responsible for setting up equipment based on work orders, safely loading and unloading rolls, monitoring the machine while it is running, checking product quality, preparing samples, and packing finished material.
This position is a good fit for someone who has operated production or manufacturing equipment before, pays close attention to detail, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set up and operate conversion equipment based on work orders and instructions.
- Safely load, unload, wind, rewind, and package roll materials.
- Check equipment controls and safety stops before operating equipment.
- Review work orders, drawings, and instructions before starting production.
- Monitor equipment during operation to make sure product is running properly.
- Watch for damaged, defective, missing, or incorrect material.
- Prepare product samples as needed.
- Print labels and label finished material for customer orders.
- Package finished rolls according to work order instructions.
- Use lift carts and material handling equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Communicate material issues, quality concerns, equipment problems, or safety hazards to the supervisor.
- Work well with supervisors, leads, and other team members.
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the supervisor.

QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with winding, rewinding, converting, packaging, roll handling, laminating, coating, film, plastics, or similar equipment preferred.
- Able to safely lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
- Able to set up, monitor, and operate production equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify material or quality issues.
- Able to follow work orders, drawings, production instructions, and safety procedures.
- Legible handwriting required for production documentation.
- Reliable, safety-minded, and able to work well with others
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience required
SHIFT:
- 3rd (11:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
