Onix seeks an experienced Conversational AI Engineer who will be vital in designing and implementing AI solutions, including Dialogflow CX, CCAI Insights, CCAI Agent Assist, and integrations with third party telephony and CRM systems. As a CAI Engineer, you will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, IT leaders, and technical teams to design conversational flows for voice and chat use cases.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including client executives, architects, engineers, and business stakeholders, to understand their requirements and translate them into robust cloud solutions. The candidate will have hands-on experience with Dialogflow CX.

Primary Responsibilities

  • You will lead clients in the architecture and design of Conversational AI solutions

  • Help drive the design and implementation of solutions, ensuring they meet client requirements, industry standards, and best practices.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and executives, enterprise and solution architects, cloud engineers, and other teams to understand requirements, use cases, and business objectives.

  • Ensure quality, integrity, and governance standards are met throughout the engineering lifecycle.

  • Stay current with the latest advancements in CAI and related technologies, evaluate their potential impact on the organization, and recommend relevant solutions.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, architectural diagrams, and best practices

  • Help in hiring, training, and mentoring new engineers and architects on best practices

  • Partner with Delivery, and Support teams to find opportunities to reduce the manual effort needed to complete deployments.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Consulting, Pre-sales or post-sales experience working with external clients across a variety of industry markets

  • Understanding customer-facing pre-sales or consulting roles

  • 8+ years of experience demonstrating technical concepts, including demos, presenting and white-boarding

  • 5+ years of experience designing architectures within a public cloud (AWS, Azure or GCP)

  • 5+ years of experience with the core discipline of choice (listed above)

  • Proficiency in conversational design

  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP and their services (e.g., S3, BigQuery, etc).

  • Solid understanding of CAI best practices and design principles

  • Familiarity with contact center solutions and concepts, including call, chat, and SMS, call routing, etc.

  • Experience with emerging generative features of current CAI technologies, including Vertex AI Agent Builder and Dialogflow Playbooks and Tools.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization

  • Bilingual in Spanish or French is nice to have

Education Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
