Maintenance Technician for Automated Production Systems Drive Unit (m/w/d) - Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg

We are seeking a Maintenance Technicians for our Drive Unit area who will play a crucial role in the development of our electric motors by utilizing their expertise to optimize, question, and eliminate processes, while continuously improving production efficiency and quality in a challenging and stimulating environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Identify and fix faults in advanced automated production systems, with an emphasis on control technologies for optimal performance.
  • Keep accurate documentation of all maintenance, modifications, servicing, damage reports, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Use expertise in converter technology and control systems to troubleshoot and implement effective solutions.
  • Carry out repairs, maintenance, servicing, and conversions on production machinery, ensuring compliance with specifications and high standards.
  • Support preventive maintenance programs to maintain control system reliability and minimize interruptions.

What You’ll Bring

  • Completed vocational training as a mechatronics technician (m/f/d) or comparable qualification.
  • Strong flexibility, communication, and teamwork skills, with a proactive and action-oriented approach.
  • Willingness to work shifts in a fully continuous model.
  • Good knowledge of control engineering, pneumatics, hydraulics, and/or robotics.
  • Solid technical understanding and practical hands-on skills.
  • Experience in maintaining production plants.
  • Good English skills required; German skills desirable.
  • Experience in Siemens PLC controls, TIA Portal, ladder logic, troubleshooting, and programming.
