Responsible for assembling and wiring custom control panels to meet the specifications of HVAC systems for both internal and external customers. This role requires precision in interpreting electrical schematics, selecting appropriate components, and ensuring panels are built to quality and safety standards. Collaborates closely with engineering and production teams to deliver reliable, high-performance control solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability, and physical demands required.
  • Arrange, wire, and assemble panels according to drawings and details from the application engineer.
  • Test and validate each panel in a quality control process to verify the correct operation prior to packaging and shipping.
  • Compile all components for the project in preparation for shipping, validating a packing slip for each box.
  • Give feedback on how to improve the panel building process.
  • Keep track of the inventory quantities and report weekly to the General Manager – Controls.
  • Responsible for tracking the assembly components for builds and submitting for billing purposes to the Controls Project Manager and the Application Engineer.
  • Attending weekly meeting to discuss panel assembly time frames and to prioritize projects to meet customer deadlines.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Experience and Requirements:
  • Certificate, 2 or 4-year degree from an accredited trade school, college, or university required.
  • 2+ years of HVAC Controls experience required
  • Knowledge and certifications with Tridium/Niagara, CPT, Reliable, KMC, etc. a plus
  • Configuration knowledge of AAON Controllers, etc. a plus
  • Valid in-state Driver’s License and clean driving record required. Carrier requirements are 21 years of age with a minimum of 3 years driving experience. Extensive travel is required with regular overnight stays.
  • Language Skills- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret sales/ticket orders and other documents in English. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to interact clearly and effectively, in both written and oral communication, with managers, customers, co-workers, vendors, etc. Ability to interact clearly and effectively, in both written and oral communication, with supervisor, clients, staff, vendors, etc.
  • Computer Skills- To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, etc. This role requires an intermediate level of knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the individual must be able to remain in a stationary position for 25 percent of the time while operating their computer and performing office work. The individual needs to frequently move about inside tight and cramped spaces. They may operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, fax machine, and computer. They must be able to exchange accurate information with customers and others in the office while interacting. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. The individual must be capable of reviewing their work for errors and make adjustments as necessary.
  • This position works in various settings, with much outdoor exposure during the day. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate but can escalate to high while on a work site. This position requires extensive travel, up to 100 percent.
