Your role
As a Controls Project Engineer, you will design and program PLC controls for our material handling systems from our office in Veghel. You work on a project basis, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
During the engineering phase, you collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary project team to deliver the Functional Specification. After this phase, you take ownership of the detailed design, programming, and testing of the PLC software.
Once engineering is completed, you will travel to customer sites worldwide to commission the conveyor systems. During this phase, you:
Perform functional testing of PLC hardware and software
Integrate PLC software into the overall control system
Support customer acceptance testing
Throughout the project, you monitor budget and timelines and take action where needed.
Your department
You will be part of the Project Engineering department within the Domain Distributie. This department is responsible for the global execution of warehousing projects, where mechanical, electromechanical, and controls components are integrated into our material handling systems.
Your profile
Bachelor’s degree (HBO) in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Computer Science, or Controls Technology
Strong analytical skills
Proactive, hands-on, and pragmatic mindset
Experience with PLC applications (TIA Portal)
Ability to manage deadlines and communicate progress effectively
Willingness to travel internationally (up to 50%)
Strong command of English; Dutch is preferred
