We’re transforming performance and efficiency for customers across the globe, giving them the vital edge in their markets.

Make an impact

As our Controls Manager Electrical Engineering EMEA, you will lead a geographically dispersed team of electrical design engineers supporting our projects across the EMEA region. Your team is responsible for electrical hardware design for Integrated Solutions as well as extension, retrofit and modernisation projects.

This is a role where technical expertise and people leadership come together. You will help your team deliver safe, reliable and high-quality engineering solutions while balancing resources and priorities across a dynamic project environment. You will also work closely with colleagues across different functions, countries and disciplines to support successful project delivery and business development.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and develop our multinational Controls Electrical Engineering team across EMEA, creating an environment where people can collaborate, grow and perform at their best.
  • Ensure successful delivery of electrical engineering work on time, to specification and in line with agreed technical and safety standards.
  • Plan and allocate resources across projects, balancing priorities, workload, skills and delivery requirements.
  • Drive engineering quality and safety, supporting technical reviews, design risk assessments and proactive risk mitigation throughout project execution.
  • Improve the way we work by strengthening electrical design standards, quality and processes and encouraging continuous improvement.
  • Build and share knowledge across the team, including expertise spanning both legacy and modern technologies.
  • Manage team performance and development through clear goals, regular feedback, development support and annual reviews.
  • Keep stakeholders informed through clear reporting on team activities, project deliverables and resource utilisation

What you need to succeed

You are an experienced engineering professional who combines strong technical judgement with a practical and collaborative leadership style.

You bring:

  • A vocational qualification and/or university degree in a electrical, controls or automation engineering or other relevant technical field.
  • 8–10 years of relevant professional experience, including controls engineering, engineering project scope and team management.
  • Strong expertise in electrical design and documentation, ideally using EPLAN or a similar tool.
  • A good understanding of automation and control systems, particularly within intralogistics systems and material handling equipment.
  • Knowledge of international electrical standards and regulations, including the Machinery Directive.
  • Experience with safety-related control systems and safety matrices, including PL/SIL.
  • Experience assessing electrical designs for technical feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
  • Strong experience in performance management, resource planning and workload management within a dynamic project environment.
  • The ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders and confidently present project status, risks and performance information to senior stakeholders.
  • The ability to build effective relationships and collaborate across functions, cultures and geographies.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Willingness to travel internationally, with travel expected up to 20%.
