We are currently seeking an Controls Engineering Intern who is keen to explore the Materials Handling industry. You will join the Controls department in our Singapore office and be involved in project execution for the country’s largest supermarket/grocery chain. Mentoring and on-the-job guidance will be provided.

As a Controls Engineering Intern, you will have the opportunity to engage in impactful projects that provide you with a glimpse of professional real-world experience in the Material Handling Industry. You will gain practical skills through on-the-job training and mentoring and be attached to the Controls Engineering department in our Singapore office.

We are looking for a talented Controls Engineer who has the drive and ambition to develop their career in a growing, global organisation

Tasks and Qualifications:

What you will do in this role:

  • Updating of electrical schematic diagrams using EPlan

  • Verification of electrical installations on-site, if needed

  • PLC programme configuration and programming

  • Technical documentation for controls design

  • Providing support to the Controls Engineering team

What we are looking for:

  • Pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronic Engineering

  • Basic electrical/electronics knowledge

  • Knowledge of EPlan is a plus

  • PLC knowledge is advantageous

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills

  • 6 months commitment from July to December
