Our award-winning client is seeking a Controls Engineer to join their team.We are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving our plant's control systems, including PLCs, drives, instrumentation, and human-machine interfaces (HMIs). You will also provide technical support to maintenance technicians and operators.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose and resolve issues with PLC, drive, instrumentation, and HMI systems.
Implement new features and improvements to existing control systems.
Contribute to new automation projects, including design, programming, and commissioning.
Mentor maintenance technicians and operators on control system operations.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of control systems.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in PLC programming and troubleshooting.
Strong understanding of control system components, such as PLCs, drives, instrumentation, and HMIs.
Proficiency in PLC programming languages (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens).
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and P&IDs.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with industrial automation systems, including SCADA and DCS.
Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus).
Proficiency in AutoCAD or other CAD software.
Experience with database management systems.
