Job Description

With a solid foundation in minerals processing, we continue to expand into new commodities and regions, driven by innovation and the adoption of modern control system technologies.

You’ll work on advanced mineral processing projects for Tier 1 clients, building deep process knowledge while delivering complex control system outcomes.

Reporting to the Principal Engineer and supported by a highly skilled, multidisciplinary team, you’ll enjoy a role that offers technical variety and meaningful challenges.

While predominantly office‑based, there will be opportunities to travel to site as required, enhancing your understanding of project execution and commissioning activities.

These 12‑month contracts form part of a broader long‑term growth strategy, with genuine potential for extension or permanent opportunities for high‑performing contractors.

Primary Duties:

  • Contribute to end‑to‑end control system delivery across mineral processing projects, from requirements through to testing and commissioning.
  • Develop functional descriptions, testing plans, and test records, clearly defining scope, configuration, and expected outcomes.
  • Configure and test Rockwell PLC, Citect SCADA, and HMI systems, including bench and factory acceptance testing.
  • Support commissioning, troubleshooting, and system validation, working closely with Controls Engineers and project teams.
  • Produce high‑quality technical documentation and engineering deliverables, including technical studies and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering standards, coding conventions, safety requirements, and best practice, within multidisciplinary teams.

Who are you?

  • Degree‑qualified in Electrical, Mechatronics, Software, or Computer Engineering.
  • Background delivering industrial control systems within project environments.
  • Hands‑on capability with PLC platforms such as Rockwell, Schneider, or Siemens.
  • Exposure to SCADA systems, including Citect SCADA and/or FactoryTalk View.
  • Understanding of control system integration and industrial networks within project environments.
  • Experience in mineral processing or related heavy industries is highly regarded.
