Our award-winning client is seeking an Engineer, Controls & Automation to join their team. Our client is searching for a talented and experienced Engineer, Controls & Automation to join their team in Ferdinand, Indiana. In this role, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining automated control systems to optimize manufacturing processes and maximize productivity.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop automated control systems for manufacturing equipment and processes.
Analyze client specifications and business requirements to define functional needs.
Provide technical expertise to develop and implement complex manufacturing system solutions.
Maintain and troubleshoot existing control systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Support manufacturing operations, including robot programming and system modifications.
Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to achieve project goals.
Generate reports and dashboards to monitor system performance and identify improvement opportunities.
Demonstrate initiative and problem-solving skills to address technical challenges.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (preferred).
4-6 years of experience as an engineer or in a leadership role within manufacturing (preferred).
Minimum 3 years of experience with manufacturing systems automation, process control systems, or software development in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and change management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in project management methodologies.
Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
Strong understanding of key manufacturing processes.
Experience with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
Proficient in computer skills and the ability to learn new software applications quickly.
