As Controls and Design Assurance Manager,you’llplay a critical leadership role in safeguarding Anglicare’s digital assets,dataand IT infrastructure.You’lllead the Cyber Security Controls Assurance Program, ensuring security controls are designed,testedandmaintainedfor operational effectiveness and compliance.You’llbe welcomed into a compassionate,respectfuland purpose-driven community where wedon’tjust talk about values – we live them.

Your opportunity

You will lead a team of cyber security professionals and collaborate with IT, legal, compliance and senior leadership to align cyber securitycontrols operational effectivenesswithAnglicare’soverall security posture From architectural security reviews to vulnerability management and data protection initiatives,you’llensure robust security frameworks that protect our mission.


With ownership, you will:

  • Develop and oversee Anglicare’s Security Controls Assurance Program

  • Lead security architecture reviews and risk-based design assessments

  • Ensure secure Identity Governance, Data Loss Protection and Privileged Access Management

  • Standardise cloud and network security controls across hybrid environments

  • Oversee vulnerability management and risk mitigation programs

  • Implement secure DevOps frameworks and compliance in development pipelines

  • Engage senior stakeholders and provide compliance reporting

What you’ll bring

You are a strategic leader with deepexpertisein cyber security controls,governanceand risk management. You bring strong analytical skills, excellentcommunicationand the ability to translate complex security concepts into actionable strategies.

You will also need:

  • Tertiary qualification in IT, Cyber Security or Risk Management

  • Proven experience in cyber security, controls assurance and risk governance

  • Familiarity withCyber Security Frameworks such as SCF(preferred), NIST and ISO 27001

  • Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Ability toadvisesenior leadership on cyber security risk and compliance

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.

When it comes to training and research we partner with the very best. Our campus partners, the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute (MCRI) and The University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics, along with the RCH Foundation, are on site with the hospital in Parkville. In 2016–17, more than 85,654 children attended our Emergency Department, 322,291 specialist clinic appointments were held which was almost 70,000 more than the previous year, more than 17,000 surgeries were performed and more than 48,552 children were admitted to our wards.
