Group Summary:

The Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the financial controlling team to ensure efficient operations and high performance,
  • Oversee month-end closing activities and ensure accurate financial reporting in compliance with Magna GAAP via One Stream,
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, KPI reporting, and budget vs. actual analysis processes,
  • Monitor cost variances, lead cost control initiatives, and support efficiency improvement projects,
  • Ensure accurate SAP cost processes and support SAP improvement and digitalization initiatives,
  • Prepare management presentations and ensure timely submission of corporate financial reports,
  • Coordinate internal and external audits and follow up corrective actions,
  • Identify and implement process improvements in controlling and reporting activities,
  • Lead cross-functional cost reduction projects and support operational efficiency,
  • Coach and develop team members to support continuous improvement and performance management.

  • Company vehicle is not included for this position,
  • Report to Finance Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields,
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in financial controlling, reporting, or finance operations within a multinational manufacturing environment,
  • Proven leadership experience in managing and developing finance teams,
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cost accounting processes,
  • Experience with SAP and financial reporting systems management reporting principles,
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills,
  • Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint,
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken,
  • Position reports directly to the Finance Manager,
  • Company vehicle is not included for this position.
