Reporting to the Financial Reporting Superintendent, you will be a part of the Finance department and collaborate with other departments of the Nunavut divisions. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved, while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and the environment. You will supervise directly to the accountants and the administrative technicians and provide support in their tasks whenever necessary and needed.
Ensure compliance with Agnico Eagle Mines' accounting standards (internal controls, policies, and procedures);
Responsible of the accuracy and timeliness of the closing and reporting of the divisional books on a monthly and a quarterly basis;
Approve and submit final quarterly reports, analyses, and financial statements (balance sheets and income statements) to the head office in accordance with established schedules;
Responsible of the various audits of the divisions while ensuring that requests from internal and external auditors are adequately and timely produced;
Provide active support to the departments in respecting and ensuring compliance to the Sarbanes-Oxley Act;
Manage et supervise the administrative sub-department by ensuring the contractor invoicing and time sheet process for the operation departments is working effectively;
Manage and supervise the expense reports process;
In charge of the communication with the Corporate Office, CSD and external auditors for any financial reporting or Audit matters;
Ensure that the planning versions are compliant accordingly to the Agnico Eagle Standards (Leases, Capex, Stockpile, Non-GAAP Growth vs Sustaining classification, etc.);
Provide support for the different planning exercises (budget, forecast, SLOM);
Supervise and coach the finance team members;
Provide support to the Financial Reporting Superintendent for any other analysis required.
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with CPA designation;
5-10 years of experience in financial/accounting field;
Mining experience is an asset;
Experience working in a multicultural environment;
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team;
Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office software especially Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;
Strong ability to effectively communicate in English (oral and written).
Your Work Schedule:
Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. A combination of tele-working with presence at our offices in either Val-d’Or, Rouyn-Noranda or Mirabel, QC.
