Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Controller to lead and manage the financial operations of a growing food manufacturing business. This role is critical to ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and clear financial visibility across multiple locations. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in manufacturing accounting, is highly proficient in QuickBooks and Google Sheets, and is comfortable consolidating complex financial data into actionable insights for leadership.

This is a hands-on role that blends operational accounting excellence with strategic financial partnership, supporting continued growth and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own full-cycle accounting across multiple locations using QuickBooks and Google Sheets
  • Prepare, analyze, and consolidate location-level P&Ls and company-wide financial reporting
  • Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
  • Oversee cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Partner with operations and production teams to understand cost structures, inventory flows, and manufacturing KPIs
  • Consolidate financial data from multiple entities or system instances into clear leadership reporting
  • Support audits, tax filings, and other compliance-related initiatives
  • Build and maintain financial models and scenario analyses for internal planning and investor reporting
  • Lead ad hoc financial projects that improve operational efficiency and financial clarity

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Controller or senior accounting leader, ideally within food manufacturing or CPG
  • Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Google Sheets (Excel), including automated reporting and dashboard development
  • Strong experience managing multi-location accounting with separate P&Ls
  • Demonstrated ability to consolidate financial data across multiple entities or systems
  • Deep understanding of inventory accounting, cost of goods sold, and manufacturing finance
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to operate independently while serving as a trusted financial partner to leadership
