CONFIDENTIAL OPPORTUNITY – SENIOR PLANT CONTROLLER

Birmingham, Alabama

$80,000 – $115,000 + Profit Sharing + Full Benefits

We are partnering with a global manufacturing organization seeking a Senior Plant Controller to lead financial operations across multiple plant locations. This role serves as a key member of the leadership team, driving financial accuracy, cost control, and strategic decision-making in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and continuous improvement
• Drive and support Continuous Improvement initiatives from identification through execution
• Supervise and mentor a Senior Financial Analyst, ensuring high-quality reporting and development
• Maintain general ledger integrity, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and issue resolution
• Oversee standard costing, inventory valuation, and COGS, including management of excess and obsolete inventory
• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial modeling and actionable insights
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements; support internal and external audits
• Oversee financial performance and reporting for multiple manufacturing sites
• Partner closely with Plant and General Management to support operational and strategic decisions

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment (required)
• Strong expertise in cost accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting
• Proven experience with SOX compliance, internal controls, and audit support
• ERP experience required; SAP strongly preferred
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis); Power BI a plus
• Experience with reporting tools such as Business Objects, Longview, or similar platforms preferred
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams
