The Position

Artheon is seeking an experienced Controller to lead the accounting and financial operations of the business. Reporting directly to the CFO, the Controller will be responsible for financial reporting, internal controls, accounting operations, compliance, and team leadership.

The Controller will be responsible for the overall integrity of the company's financial reporting, accounting operations, internal controls, and compliance activities. This individual will serve as a key member of the finance leadership team, helping build scalable processes and infrastructure to support significant organizational growth.

Responsibilities


  • Lead all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, financial reporting, and audit coordination.
  • Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain strong internal controls and accounting procedures.
  • Partner closely with the CFO and operational leadership to provide financial analysis and business insights.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and strategic planning initiatives.
  • Coordinate and manage external audits and ensure compliance with regulatory and reporting requirements.
  • Drive process improvements and system optimization to support rapid business growth.
  • Maintain the integrity of financial data within Deltek Vantagepoint (VP) and related financial systems.
  • Build and develop a high-performing accounting organization capable of supporting future growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
  • Strong experience in general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and audit management.
  • Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint strongly preferred.
  • Industry-specific experience is preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated ability to build scalable accounting processes within a growing organization.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CPA preferred.
  • Prior Controller, Assistant Controller, or senior accounting leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience leading accounting teams and developing staff.
