Job Description

REDO CABINETS

CONTROLLER

Are you a finance leader who knows the numbers inside and out and isn’t afraid to say what needs to happen next? Do you stay close to the details, take ownership, and use your expertise to push the business forward? This is a role for someone who can keep up in a fast-moving environment, speak with confidence, and step in as the financial authority in the room. If you take pride in your expertise and want your impact felt across the business, not just in the reports, we want to talk to you!

As our Controller:

  • You get your stuff done and stay on top of the details. When something is yours, it’s handled without follow-up

You’ll be in the details, working through the numbers, and helping the business build stronger financial clarity as it grows. With the right person in this seat, the team has a clearer understanding of what’s happening, leaders make better decisions, and the business is better positioned for the next stage of growth. As the company continues to scale toward $100M, this is a role for someone who takes pride in their expertise, wants to be relied on for it, and is motivated to grow along with the business.

  • Build clear P&Ls across locations and markets so leadership understands true profitability
  • Partner with leaders across the business to explain what the numbers mean and where to focus next
  • Analyze pricing, job profitability, break-even points, and expansion opportunities so leaders can make better decisions
  • Lead forecasting, budgeting, and rolling financial planning as the business continues to scale
  • Create clear visibility into cash flow, working capital, CapEx, and growth investments
  • Evaluate financing options and capital strategies that support growth and prevent overextension
  • Build reports, dashboards, and financial outputs that make performance easy to understand
  • Strengthen accounting processes, controls, and systems so finance can keep pace with growth
  • Evaluate and improve tools across QuickBooks, Salesforce, payroll, and related systems
  • Maintain banking and lender relationships to support financing, leverage, and growth planning
  • Lead, manage, and hold accountable the accounting team
  • Develop the accounting team’s skill set as the department grows
  • Align financial processes to how Redo actually runs, not just how accounting has always been done
  • Stay visible across locations and markets to understand operations and support growth

** This is a full-time, on-site position based in the Chicagoland area (Wood Dale, IL). Occasional travel to other locations is expected. **
