DEPLOY is looking for a Controller for a client in Birmingham. We're looking for someone who can own the accounting fundamentals, bring clarity to the numbers, and get excited about smarter ways to work. If you've ever looked at a manual process and thought, There has to be a better way, we should talk.

What you'll do

• Lead the accounting function and keep the books accurate and timely.
• Own month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Strengthen controls and turn financial data into useful insights.
• Partner with leadership on decisions that shape the business.
• Explore how AI and automation can make finance workflows faster and better.

• Solid accounting and financial leadership experience.
• Strong judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to explain the story behind the numbers.
• A hands-on mindset: you're comfortable owning the work and improving the process.
• Genuine curiosity about AI. You don't need to be an expert; you do need to be eager to use new tools thoughtfully.
