Job Title: Accounting Manager

Our client custom manufactures niche products within the aerospace Industry. They are a decades old company (HQ in Europe) that is poised for growth and looking to hire an Accounting Manager for their small team in Vaughan, Ontario.

About the role:
Reporting to the CFO, this role will be responsible for maintaining financial accounting information for 2 Canadian plants strengthening the quality, consistency, and timeliness of financial reporting. The successful candidate should be strong in management accounting, reporting, cash and treasury management.

Responsibilities include:

• Collaborating and providing support for production of short and long-term financial forecasts and budgets.
• Leading the preparation of accurate and timely monthly financial reporting packages.
• Coordinating closely with local accounting team to ensure data integrity and alignment.
• Analyzing results, identifying variances, and providing clear data-driven insights.
• Performing banking and financing reconciliations.
• Preparing various analytical tables.
• Performing the valuation and depreciation process.
• Ensuring compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and reporting requirements

Qualifications:

• CPA designation or in late stages of CPA completion.
• 3-5 years of progressive experience in financial reporting or controlling, ideally in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with multi-entity consolidation and reporting (IFRS)
• Ability to work cross-functionally and coordinate with multiple stakeholders
• Previous experiences working with SAP preferred
• Ability to travel 1-2 times per month between manufacturing facilities (Vaughan – Montreal).
• You have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• You have strong interpersonal skills, are mature, professional, reliable and looking for long term stability.
