Jennie Joiner with Forum Group PNW is partnering with a mission-driven Oregon nonprofit organization to identify an experienced Controller for a long-term contract opportunity.

**NOTE** while the position is remote, this individual will be expected to come into the office once a month so someone who lives in or near Eugene is preferable.

This is not a temporary short term fill-in assignment. The organization is seeking someone who can become a long-term extension of their accounting team through contract work. The position is expected to average approximately 32 hours per week, with the flexibility to create a schedule that works for both you and the organization.

What You'll Be Doing

Working directly with the CFO, you'll provide high-level accounting support, including:

• Month-end and year-end close
• Journal entries and general ledger accounting
• Account reconciliations
• Trial balance review
• Audit preparation and supporting schedules
• Financial analysis and spreadsheet work
• Reviewing accounting documentation for accuracy and compliance
• Assisting with special accounting projects

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership of their work, can work independently, and is comfortable jumping in with minimal direction.

What They're Looking For

• Strong Senior Accountant or Controller experience
• Excellent month-end close and general ledger experience
• Strong reconciliation and journal entry skills
• Advanced Excel skills
• Self-directed and comfortable working remotely
• Ability to hit the ground running with minimal supervision
• Must reside in Oregon (occasional in-person meetings may be requested approximately once per month)
