Team overview

As a Business and Industrial Controller you will be in the Norway and Denmark Accounting Team where the Finance and Controlling functions are included in the Nordics Finance organization and operate under the Nordics CFO. The team is responsible for delivering high-quality financial reporting, robust controlling activities, and ensuring compliance with both local statutory requirements and Group policies.

Your contribution to Prysmian's Success:

As Norway and Denmark Controller, you will support business performance through financial analysis, performance monitoring, and governance. Reporting to the Controlling Manager for Norway and Denmark, you will work closely with business leaders, Nordics stakeholders, and Group Finance functions.

This role offers exposure to a dynamic international environment, with opportunities to drive continuous improvement, support strategic decision-making, and strengthen financial performance across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Industrial Controlling

  • Partner with the Plant Manager to monitor and improve production cost performance.

  • Perform variance analysis on labor, materials, and manufacturing costs.

  • Support initiatives to increase efficiency and cost competitiveness, particularly at the Drammen plant.

Business Controlling

  • Support Sales teams in Norway and Denmark with profitability and performance analysis.

  • Provide financial insight to support commercial and operational decision-making.

  • Contribute to margin improvement and profitability management.

Planning, Reporting & Governance

  • Lead forecasting, budgeting, and planning activities in line with Group guidelines.

  • Support month-end closing, financial reporting, and variance analysis.

  • Ensure alignment and transparency with local management, Nordics Finance, and Group functions.

Finance Business Partnering

  • Act as a trusted partner to operational and commercial stakeholders.

  • Drive KPI monitoring and performance management.

  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis, business cases, and decision-making support.

  • Oversee inventory and investment-related financial activities.

  • Ensure data accuracy, compliance, and adherence to internal controls and Group policies

Who are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

  • Solid experience in business and industrial controlling, including cost management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting within a manufacturing environment.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Controlling role, preferably within an industrial or production setting.

  • Proven experience in month-end closing processes and management reporting.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into meaningful insights.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel); SAP experience is highly preferred. Familiarity with reporting and BI tools (e.g. Hyperion, QlikView)

  • Fluency in English; additional Nordic language skills are a plus.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and collaborate across functions and organizational levels.

  • Highly structured, accurate, and detail-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and professional integrity.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced, and evolving environment.

  • Comfortable working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines, while maintaining high quality standards.
