Are you a strategic financial leader with deep experience in construction or restoration accounting? We're a well-established, rapidly growing insurance property restoration company based in the Minneapolis–St. Paul Metro area—serving residential and commercial clients across the region. With large annual revenues and an aggressive growth plan, we're looking for a Controller to lead our accounting operations and help shape the financial future of our company. What You’ll Do:

  • Oversee all accounting functions: A/R, A/P, GL, payroll, and job costing
  • Deliver timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Analyze financial performance and project profitability; drive cost control strategies
  • Own and optimize the job costing process and work-in-progress (WIP) reporting
  • Collaborate with operations to align financials with project execution
  • Ensure internal controls, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance
  • Lead and mentor a small, high-performing accounting team
  • Implement process improvements and optimize financial systems


What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA a plus)
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with 3+ years in a senior or Controller-level role
  • Background in construction, restoration, or project-based accounting
  • Strong knowledge of job costing, WIP, and GAAP
  • Experience with accounting and restoration industry tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xactimate, DASH)
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy with a leadership mindset
  • Clear communicator who collaborates well across departments
