With more than 35 years of expertise, an entrepreneurial culture, and ambitious growth plans within ArcelorMittal's Recycling business unit, we are looking for a talented and motivated Finance Controller to strengthen our finance team.


Your Mission

As a Controller, you will act as a key business partner to management and contribute directly to the financial performance, compliance, and strategic development of the company.

You will oversee financial controlling activities, ensure the reliability of financial information, and support decision-making through insightful analyses and reporting.

This role offers a broad scope of responsibilities in an international environment where you will have a real impact on business performance and sustainability objectives.


Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Coordinate and support the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
  • Prepare and analyze management reports, forecasts, budgets, and financial performance indicators.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
  • Monitor financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

Accounting & Financial Control

  • Ensure accuracy and compliance of accounting records and financial statements.
  • Supervise general ledger activities, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial controls.
  • Manage cash flow forecasting and liquidity monitoring.
  • Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.

Inventory & Operational Finance

  • Monitor inventory valuation and financial flows within the ERP system.
  • Ensure proper management of transfer accounts and stock-related transactions.
  • Support operational teams with financial analyses related to purchasing, sales, and inventory management.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Prepare statutory reports and declarations.
  • Coordinate annual audits and act as a key contact for auditors.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and group requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with ArcelorMittal's Shared Service Centre and finance stakeholders.

Projects & Continuous Improvement

  • Participate in finance transformation and process improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to ERP and reporting system enhancements.
  • Support strategic financial projects linked to business growth and operational excellence.

Your Profile

Education

  • Bachelor's degree (minimum HBO level) in:
    • Finance & Control
    • Business Economics
    • Accounting
    • Finance or related field

Experience

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in Controlling, Finance, Accounting, or a similar position.
  • Experience in an international and industrial environment is considered an asset.

Technical Skills

  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with Exact is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of SAP is a strong advantage.

Languages

  • Fluent in Dutch and English (mandatory).
  • German is a valuable asset.

Personal Skills

  • Analytical and detail-oriented mindset.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Proactive, hands-on, and solution-oriented approach.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within an international team.
