Job Description

• Oversight of all finance and accounting functions, to include Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger
• Leading team of 3 accountants
• Financial reporting for multiple entities and funds
• Compliance activities within the accounting department
• Representation of the finance organization on the leadership team
• Presenting monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting and analytics to executive team
• Other duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related major from a reputable institution
• CPA and/or public accounting experience is preferred but not required
• 10+ years of experience in accounting, including 3 at a Manager/Director level
• Experience with Quickbooks Online
• Previous leadership experience to hire, train, develop, and keep key employees
• Ability to describe finance functions and how they align to organizational goals
• “Can do” attitude to support organizational goals
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excel skills to include vlookups, macros, and other automated functionality
• Strategic goal-setting thinker to help guide the organization into the future
• The Controller will oversee three accountants and be responsible for all financial reporting of the Organization’s multiple training locations and would report directly to the Organization’s Executive Director. The ideal candidate would have a minimum of 10 years’ experience, be detailed oriented, a good communicator and have extensive working knowledge with QuickBooks.
