  • Produce and maintain programming packages, source code archives, configuration files, firmware records, device settings, and other technical documentation required for sustainment.
  • Assist with development of as-built documentation, red-line updates, equipment labeling, and turnover materials.
  • Coordinate with engineers, installers, project managers, Government stakeholders, and end users to support implementation and acceptance activities.
  • Provide operator training and technical support for deployed control systems as required.
  • Experience programming AV control systems, DSPs, and networked media components in professional, enterprise, education, or government environments.
  • Working knowledge of AV system integration, signal flow, device configuration, and system-level troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read and work from engineering documentation such as system design packages, signal flow diagrams, rack elevations, equipment lists, and requirements traceability materials.
  • Experience with system testing, validation, and documentation, including configuration tracking and acceptance support.
  • Familiarity with structured cabling, equipment labeling, and installation best practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and customer representatives.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Audio Visual Systems, or a related technical field is preferred. Equivalent combinations of education, technical training, and relevant work experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience programming and supporting control systems, audiovisual technologies, or closely related integrated technology environments.
  • Demonstrated experience with AV control platforms, DSP configuration, device integration, and system troubleshooting in operational environments.
  • Experience supporting testing, commissioning, documentation, and turnover of integrated systems is strongly preferred.

Additional preferred experience: Experience working in government, defense, higher education, or other mission-critical environments; familiarity with engineering design documentation; and experience with platforms such as Crestron, AMX, or Extron are highly desirable.

Preferred certifications and experience may include: AVIXA CTS or CTS-I credentials, relevant manufacturer certifications, experience with platforms such as Crestron, AMX, or Extron, and familiarity with military, higher education, broadcast, or other mission-critical environments. Knowledge of applicable AV, broadcast, and telecommunications standards such as ANSI/TIA, SMPTE, Dante, and NDI is also beneficial.

Work Environment:

This position works in active installation and operational environments and may support classrooms, studios, control rooms, and other technology-enabled spaces.
