The opportunity

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Test Setup Competency Specialist to join our cross-functionalFactorySystem Testing(FST)team. This role focuses on leveraging test setupexpertiseto ensure efficient and high-quality execution. You will contribute to complete test setups, including firmware and hardware testing, enhancing the team's overall competency in delivering successful project outcomes.

In our FST team, weare responsible forestablishingcontrolsystemstest setupfor customer projects, which involve multiple cubicles equipped with necessary hardwareand test equipmentProject teamthenimplementsbothMACH control system platformapplicationsand Station Operation and Monitoring (SOM) systems,verifyfunctionality using advanced test equipment, such as Real-Time DigitalSimulator(RTDS), andconductscustomer acceptance activities prior to dispatching the systems to the site.

How you will make an impact

  • Collaborate with Control Engineering to ensure alignment in instructions and way of working.

  • Conduct comprehensive test setups, including loading board firmware, hardware testing, and setup of RTDS.

  • Manage KVM configuration and Windows license activation.

  • Facilitate testing of spares to support project needs.

Your background

  • EngineeringDegree inrelevantfield

  • Experience of commissioning controlsystem

  • Experience in test setup and hardware testing.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team.
