
General Summary: Maintains order and security in the Charles B. Webster Detention Center by supporting certified personnel in ensuring the safety and well-being of inmates, employees, and visitors within the guidelines of applicable state and federal laws, department directives, and rules and regulations. Reports to the Sergeant or other designated person and works with co-workers, inmates, attorneys, visitors, ministers, social workers, and probation, parole, court, police, and other agency personnel to provide operational support.
Education: High School diploma, G.E.D., or Transcript with Grades and Graduation Date
Experience: No experience required. Selected candidate will be trained to successfully perform
responsibilities of this position.
Preferred Previous experience in law enforcement, public safety, and another related
Experience: occupation.
Licensing: Possession of a valid driver’s license with good driving history. If State license is other than Georgia or South Carolina, applicant must obtain a license in Georgia or South Carolina within 30 days of employment.
