Control Room Operator

Join the front lines of The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT)! We are looking for a high-energy professional to dive into an action-packed, part-time, temporary role! In this position, you'll work up to (29) hours a week at the Traffic Operations Center (TOC), providing critical administrative and operational support. Salary Range: $19.24 - $28.86

FT/PT Status: Part-Time

Background Check: You must successfully pass a criminal history check.

Key Responsibilities

• Administrative Support: Maintain control room policies, manuals, and project records; assist with reports and presentations.
• Operational Coordination: Prepare and coordinate construction plans involving Variable Message Signs (VMS).
• Control Room Coverage: Provide occasional shift coverage, including monitoring traffic conditions, documenting incidents, and managing traveler information.

What You'll Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one (1) year of administrative, office support, or customer service experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong organizational skills.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional weekends or holidays as needed.
