Job Description
We are seeking a Control Room Operator to remotely monitor oil and gas production equipment from our control center in McCook, TX. This is a night shift, office-based position responsible for monitoring compressors, production equipment, and field operations through well monitoring software.
Responsibilities
- Monitor compressors, production equipment, and well sites remotely using well monitoring software.
- Continuously observe system performance and identify abnormal operating conditions or equipment alarms.
- Respond to alarms by assessing the situation and dispatching Lease Operators to the appropriate field location.
- Maintain accurate records of alarms, equipment status, operator notifications, and operational events.
- Coordinate with Lease Operators and operations personnel to ensure timely resolution of equipment issues.
- Escalate critical equipment failures or production concerns according to established procedures.
- Monitor multiple assets simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Follow company safety, operational, and communication procedures at all times.
- Provide shift handoff updates to ensure continuity between operators.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in oil and gas operations, production, control room operations, SCADA, or lease operations preferred.
- Experience using well monitoring or SCADA software (such as Cygnet) is preferred.
- Comfortable working night shifts on a consistent schedule.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Strong computer skills and the ability to learn monitoring software quickly.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and respond to abnormal operating conditions.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with field personnel.
- Ability to remain focused while monitoring multiple systems in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working night shifts on a consistent schedule.
- Must meet conditional job offer requirements.
