Job Description:

Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated Control Center System Engineer. The successful candidate will have solid experience in the rail industry, managing wayside installation design and routing cables along the track and within technical rooms. This position is based in Italy.

Accountabilities

  • Work Package Management
  • Support the management of the full lifecycle of the OCC Work Package from design to commissioning
  • Support or manage the planning, and deliverables in line with project milestones
  • Monitor progress, costs, and resource allocation
  • Report status, risks, and performance to the WPL, to the Project Engineer and to the Project Manager.
  • Contribute to the coordination of engineering activities related to OCC systems, including: System integration and external interfaces; oversee system architecture, configuration, and validation
  • Support to ensure proper integration and standardization of all the different technologies in the Control Center like: Signalling systems, SCADA, Telecommunications (GSM-R / FRMCS, Power supply and trackside equipment
  • Partecipate to the analysis and management of system and contractual requirements
  • Support the Requirements Management Process for the Integrated OCC (requirements identification, allocation, traceability, etc.) making sure the requirements are development up to the final validation
  • Support RAMS activities and safety case contributions
  • Support to traceability between requirements, design, and validation
  • Support on-site commissioning and entry-into-service phases
  • Ensure readiness and quality of deliverables for customer acceptance
  • Support the WPL in the role of primary point of contact for OCC-related topics towards the customer
  • Interface with internal departments (Engineering, V&V, Installation, Safety, RAMS)

Required Skills/ Knowledge

  • Knowledge of system integration and interface management
  • Operation Control Center and Traffic Management Systems
  • Team coordination capabilities
  • Problem-solving in complex and safety-critical environments
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management
  • Results-oriented with delivery focus

Education/Qualifications

Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, Automation, Computer Science, or Transport Engineering).

Languages

  • Fluent English
  • Italian or other languages considered a plus.

Alla posizione si applica il vigente CCNL per l’industria metalmeccanica privata e l’installazione di impianti, con inquadramento nel livello B2, ai sensi della relativa disciplina di classificazione del personale.

Retribuzione annua lorda compresa tra: 36.000€- 46.000€.
