About the role:

What you’ll do:
We are looking for a Control Algorithms Engineer to join our R&D Product Line Care organization. In this role, you will: Enhance product functionality through advanced control algorithms and AI-driven solutions; Develop and evolve system models as foundations for simulation, virtual labs and automated software testing; Transform data into insights by identifying patterns, trends, and opportunities. You will play a key role in shaping our Fabric Care portfolio: washing machines, dryers, and washer-dryers.
In detail, you will:
- Translate project or product requirements into control algorithm specifications.
- Design and develop modular control algorithms using the Model-Based Design (MBD)
framework.
- Automatically generate production-ready source code (ACG) for firmware integration.
- Validate algorithms through both simulations and physical (in-appliance) tests.
- Evaluate algorithm performance against targets and ensure robustness and reliability.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation (e.g., Algorithm Specifications, Calibration and Test Manuals).
- Develop and maintain system models (digital twins) for Software-in-the-Loop (SiL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) applications using the MBD framework.
- Calibrate model parameters, assess simulation performance and generate comprehensive model documentation.
- Develop MATLAB and/or Python tools for data analysis from real and virtual testing
environments.
- Act as a technical reference for assigned activities, supporting development, testing, and implementation phases.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to achieve project objectives.
As part of the culture of continuous improvement, you will be involved in Lean Thinking projects and activities (EMS/EAI).
Who you are:
- University degree in Systems and Control / Electronics Engineering or similar. PhD is a plus.
-At least 3 years of relevant experience
- Good knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink
- Good programming skills
- Good knowledge of signal processing and statistics
- Good understanding of dynamic systems and modelling
- Experience in data analysis and basic understanding of Machine Learning techniques
- Fluent English, both written and spoken
Where you’ll be:
You will be based at the Curitiba Factory Plant, located in Guabirotuba. It will be necessary to be available for national and international traveling two to four times a year. Benefits include:
