Macquarie Park, NSW | Full Time | Early January Start

About the Opportunity

Are you an organised problem solver who loves structure, thrives on detail and enjoys working with people?

We're looking for a Contracts & Vendor Management Officer to join our Group IT team and play a key role in supporting contract governance, vendor management and compliance activities across Metcash IT. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone early in their career who is looking to build a long-term career in governance, risk, compliance, vendor management or commercial operations.

You'll work closely with stakeholders across IT, Finance, Procurement, Legal and leadership teams to ensure contracts are processed correctly, governance requirements are met and vendor information is maintained accurately. Based on the underlying role purpose, the position supports contract processing, compliance workflows, vendor governance and maintaining audit-ready contract records.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Support contract and vendor management activities across Metcash's IT function
  • Coordinate contract documentation, approvals and signature processes
  • Maintain accurate contract records and vendor data
  • Monitor contract renewals, compliance requirements and governance processes
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across IT, Finance, Procurement and Legal
  • Assist with identifying risks, resolving issues and escalating concerns when required
  • Ensure documentation and audit trails are complete, accurate and up to date
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and improve efficiency
  • Support onboarding and administrative processes associated with contractors and vendors

What You'll Bring

We're less focused on years of experience and more interested in your attitude, capability and willingness to learn.

You may be a recent university graduate, an administrator looking for your next step, or someone who has gained early experience in compliance, governance, risk, procurement, contracts or business operations.

You'll bring:

  • A genuine interest in compliance, risk, governance and business processes
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately with documentation and data
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with stakeholders at all levels
  • A proactive, self-starting attitude and strong personal accountability
  • A highly organised approach with excellent time management skills
  • A continuous improvement mindset and a passion for making processes simpler and more effective
  • Confidence working with systems, spreadsheets and business applications
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and remain calm under pressure
  • A desire to learn, develop and grow your career within a large and supportive organisation
