We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Contracts Specialist (Junior Level) to support the review, administration, and management of commercial contracts and legal documents. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with company policies, contractual governance standards, and internal processes, while providing day-to-day commercial and contractual support to business stakeholders.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Business, Finance, Legal, and Procurement to support contract execution, documentation, and lifecycle activities, while assisting in identifying and managing contractual risks.

Contract Review and Administration

  • Review customer contracts, supplier agreements, NDAs, framework agreements, purchase orders, and other commercial documents.
  • Identify contractual, commercial, financial, operational, and legal risks.
  • Support negotiations by proposing alternative wording and risk mitigation measures.
  • Ensure all contractual documentation complies with company policies and approval requirements.
  • Maintain contract records and ensure proper version control.

Contract Lifecycle Management

  • Manage contracts throughout their lifecycle, from initiation through execution, amendments, renewals, novations, and termination.
  • Monitor contract expiry dates, notice periods, and renewal obligations.
  • Coordinate execution of agreements and ensure all approvals are obtained prior to signature.
  • Maintain contract repositories and document management systems.

Stakeholder Support

  • Act as the primary point of contact for contractual queries from business teams.
  • Liaise with legal counsel, finance, procurement, and operational teams regarding contract-related matters.
  • Provide guidance on contractual obligations and company governance requirements.
  • Support internal stakeholders in understanding contractual risks and obligations.

Risk Management and Compliance

  • Conduct contract risk assessments and escalate material risks where appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with internal governance, delegation of authority, and approval matrices.
  • Support audit requirements and compliance reviews.
  • Identify opportunities to standardize contractual terms and improve processes.

Process Improvement

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Contracts function.
  • Support implementation and enhancement of contract management systems.
  • Assist with reporting, KPI monitoring, and management information requirements.
  • Promote best practices in contract administration and risk management.

Qualifications

  • 2 to 3 years of experience in contract management, legal support, or commercial roles
  • Degree in Law, Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, or related field
  • Contract Management certification is advantageous.
  • Hands-on experience reviewing commercial agreements and identifying contractual risks
  • Exposure to multinational or corporate environments is preferred
  • Experience supporting multi-country or regional operations will be an advantage
