Iron Mountain is seeking an assertive, detail-driven Contracts Specialist to join our Global Commercial Support Services team.

In this pivotal operational role, you will partner directly with our Sales team to power deal velocity while safeguarding company governance. By managing routine-to-mid-complexity commercial agreements from initial request to final execution, you’ll ensure our business moves fast without compromising compliance or accuracy. Here, your precision, reading stamina, and matrix governance expertise will help maintain the seamless, trustworthy operations that drive our commercial success.

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee Contract Execution: Manage the end-to-end processing of commercial contracts (MSAs, SOWs, amendments, variations, novations, and renewals) within established SLA turnaround times.
  • Guide Sales Stakeholders: Serve as the primary operational partner for Sales reps, advising on Salesforce submissions, workflows, and contract procedures while ensuring all required internal business approvals are met before execution.
  • Deliver Detailed Contract Reviews: Conduct exhaustive, line-by-line contract reviews including long-form agreements (100+ pages) to correct pricing discrepancies, missing schedules, or non-standard terms.
  • Apply Playbooks & Draft Variations: Execute pre-approved redlines and draft routine customer communications, variations, and novations within strict Delegation of Authority (DOA) guidelines.
  • Maintain Governance & Escalation: Enforce internal approval matrices, demonstrating the assertiveness required to push back on Sales teams when requests breach guardrails, while promptly escalating complex legal or commercial risks to Senior Legal Counsel.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Contracts Administrator, Junior/Mid-tier Paralegal, Legal Secretary, or Deal Desk Specialist in a corporate environment. (Note: This is an operational contract execution role and is not intended for practicing legal advocates or attorneys).
  • Governance Discipline: Strong knowledge of commercial contract provisions, Delegation of Authority (DOA) matrices, and standard fallback playbooks.
  • Reading Stamina & Detail Precision: Meticulous attention to detail with proven reading stamina for navigating lengthy, complex legal and commercial documents without missing line-item errors.
  • Assertive Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills in English, with the confidence to balance customer service alignment with strict policy enforcement and Sales pushback.
  • Tool Fluency: Hands-on proficiency with Salesforce, enterprise CLM tools, DocuSign, Microsoft Word (Track Changes), and Google Workspace.
