Position Summary:

The Contracts Manager will as the primary liaison between MKS2 and its customers for all contractual matters. This position manages the full lifecycle of government and commercial contracts, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and customer requirements. The ideal candidate will bring demonstrated experience in federal contracting and a strong understanding of U.S. government acquisition processes, particularly with the DoD, VA, commercial and federal government-related programs. The Contracts Manager will be a highly organized and detail-oriented member of the operations team.

Key Responsibilities:

Contract Lifecycle Management:

• Provide cradle-to-grave support for various contract types (CPFF, FFP, T&M).
• Draft, negotiate, execute, and administer contracts, subcontracts, NDAs, teaming agreements, MSAs, and B2Bs.
• Manage contract modifications, extensions, and closeouts.
• Oversee and maintain company registrations, NAICS codes, and representations and certifications.

Compliance & Risk Management:

• Perform pre and post award contract reviews to ensure FAR, DFARS, and agency-specific compliance.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Serve as the point of contact for internal teams, customers, and partners on all contractual issues.
• Collaborate with program managers, legal, business development and finance teams during proposal, negotiation, and execution phases.
• Maintain strong customer relationships to support satisfaction and long-term success.

System & Process Oversight:

• Maintain accurate records in contract and financial systems.
• Maintain vendor portals.

Business Development & Proposal Support:

• Support proposal development with contract compliance insights.
• Perform opportunity and pipeline reviews in coordination with the Business Development Team.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Legal Studies, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5- 8 years of experience in contract management.
• Deep knowledge of federal acquisition regulations (FAR/DFARS).
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficiency using all Microsoft Office 365 applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) or equivalent.
• Military service or work experience within the Federal Government a plus.
• In-depth understanding of GSA schedules, Government-wide Acquisition Contracts, and IDIQ contract vehicles and their respective portals.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Occasional travel may be required.

Location: Remote

Salary: $95,000-$110,000
