Job Description

A leading engineering company based in Mullingar is keen to hire an experienced Contracts Manager to join their team. They deliver projects across Data Centre, Industrial, Commercial and large Residential sectors. The successful candidate will bring strong commercial and technical management experience, ideally with a Building Services background, and will be responsible for the successful delivery of multiple contracts from award through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of allocated contracts, from award through to final account and close-out.
• Oversee project programmes, ensuring works are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standard.
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers and site teams to ensure effective coordination of works.
• Monitor and control project costs, including variations, valuations and final accounts.
• Ensure all works comply with company policies, health and safety legislation and industry standards.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients, consultants and design teams throughout the contract.
• Attend and lead project meetings, providing progress updates to internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify and manage commercial and technical risks, escalating issues where required.
• Provide leadership, guidance and support to project engineers and site staff.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a Contracts Manager, Senior Project Manager or similar role within fire protection, mechanical or building services.
• Engineering qualification or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong commercial acumen, including experience managing project budgets, valuations and final accounts.
• Proven track record delivering projects within Data Centre, Industrial, Commercial or Residential sectors.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Full clean driving licence, with willingness to travel to project sites as required.
