We are now seeking a Contracts Manager to play a pivotal role on a recently award major public infrastructure project - the Perth Airport - as part of the Skyway Joint Venture.

About our Role

Reporting to our project Commercial Manager, this is a leadership opportunity accountable for the delivery and management of our project commercial activities with a focus on both head and subcontract management. As Contracts Manager, you will support both head contract and subcontracts administration ensuring strong commercial outcomes from project commencement through to completion.

You will work closely with our Project leadership team and Commercial Manager, providing operational commercial insight, leading negotiations, mitigating risk, and mentoring commercial team members on site. This role is ideal for a commercially astute leader who thrives in complex delivery environments and is motivated by shaping the success of landmark public infrastructure.

Your day to day

  • Implementation of the commercial strategy on a major infrastructure project
  • Administer and manage subcontract obligations and entitlements
  • Undertake subcontract administration for a range of subcontract packages
  • Oversee tendering, negotiation and award of subcontract packages
  • Manage variations, claims and dispute resolution processes
  • Provide financial forecasting, cost control and final position reporting
  • Ensure compliance with governance, contractual and legislative requirements
  • Mentor and guide Contract Administrators and commercial team members
  • Partner with project leadership to drive performance and margin outcomes

What You’ll Bring

  • Tertiary qualification in, Quantity Surveying, Law, Commerce or a related discipline
  • 5+ years’ experience within civil construction or major infrastructure delivery within a senior contracts role
  • Proven capability managing major subcontract packages on significant civil / infrastructure projects
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and leadership capability
  • Experience working on government or public infrastructure projects (highly regarded)
