of Position:
Based in our Calgary office, this role will support leadership teams across the organization with administration, execution, and continuous improvement of contract management activities throughout the CCI Group of Companies. This is an exciting opportunity to help develop and maintain and enforce procedures that aim to reduce contractual risk throughout our company in both Canada and the US.
Accountabilities:
• Drive contract negotiations and risk management
◦ Serve as the primary point of contact for contractual negotiations with third parties.
◦ Assess and mitigate contractual risk through negotiation and drafting of contracts and amendments.
• Ensure compliance and governance
◦ Implement and enforce third party service Procurement and Contracting Strategy on projects.
◦ Support internal audits, delegation of authority matrix, and template precedents for subsidiaries/projects.
• Manage contract lifecycle
◦ Ensure contracts are properly executed, maintained, reviewed, and closed out.
◦ Administer and maintain Client Master Agreements and internal contract precedents.
◦ Develop/revise templates and standard contractual terms to ensure alignment with CCI’s internal, contractual, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Stakeholder collaboration
◦ Liaise with HSE Manager for contractor/subcontractor onboarding and compliance.
◦ Collaborate with internal stakeholders (management, finance, operations, HSE, project management) to align procurement activities with organizational goals.
◦ Identify and escalate key concerns to appropriate individuals for resolution.
◦ Facilitate communication and resolution of disputes between stakeholders and suppliers/vendors/contractors/subcontractors.
◦ Track procurement details for client reporting on major projects.
• Streamline internal processes
◦ Develop and implement change management processes for contract amendments.
◦ Create procedures to improve efficiency in contracting and procurement workflows.
◦ Lead change management initiatives related to procurement and contract.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, construction management, business administration, engineering or a law/contract related field.
• 5+ years of contract review experience and supporting consulting, rental and manufacturing services, with exposure to multiple industries is considered an asset.
• Demonstrated experience with contract administration, vendor management purchase & work orders.
• Proficiency with SAP S/4 HANA would be considered an asset
Other Assets (Skills and Training)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite: Excel, Word, Microsoft Teams, Power Point, Outlook, One Drive
• Ability to learn and utilize new software and search for efficiencies
• Understanding and knowledge of Commercial and Corporate Law.
